Welcome! I am a licensed clinical social worker based in the southern Adirondack region and serving individuals through out New York State. I specialize in the mental health treatment of children ages four and up, adolescents, and adults with their primary concern of eating disorders/disordered eating and trauma. Additionally, I have specialized training in the treatment and diagnosing of ADHD, OCD, and have extensive experience working with the special needs community. I am LGBTQ+ friendly.

My sessions are not a one-size-fits-all model. I pull from a variety of modalities to work with my clients based on what they and their families report and my personal assessment. Some of the methods we may work with include DBT (dialectical behavioral therapy), CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), ACT (acceptance and commitment therapy), Schema therapy, Progressive Counting, and Play Therapy. My goal is to be as collaborative, holistic, and approachable as possible. I have been in the social work field for 6 years. During this time I have worked in private practice, community mental health, and in a medical facility.

Prior to joining the mental health field I worked as an arts instructor to children and youth both in the school system and through a local arts center. I was a respite and community habilitation specialist as well, working exclusively with children and adults with special needs.

My love of art, nature, and music are brought to my sessions. With both my youth and adult clients there is the opportunity for creative therapy and play. While I do not focus on family therapy, I know the importance of family involvement through out the treatment process, and when appropriate, will encourage the involvement of close family members and occasional family sessions.
